It starts with a discovery session

Our 30-minute discovery session is a chance for us to get to know each other. It's a relaxed conversation where you can share what prompted you to seek support, what you'd like to change, and any questions you have about counselling.

I'll explain how I work and what our sessions could look like. By the end, we'll both have a sense of whether we're well suited to work together.

  • 30 minutes
  • Online via Zoom
  • Paid session (fee shared when you get in touch)

If we decide to work together

We'll continue with regular sessions over Zoom. Together, we'll decide on a pace and focus that suits you and your goals.

  • Session length: agreed together
  • How often: agreed together, based on what you need
  • Online via Zoom

Getting ready for an online session

Questions

Things people often ask

What happens in the discovery session?

It's a relaxed 30-minute conversation over Zoom. You can share what's brought you here and what you'd like to change, and ask anything you're curious about. I'll explain how I work and what our sessions could look like, so we can both decide if we're a good fit. It's a paid session, and I'll share the fee when you get in touch.

What do I need for online sessions?

A device with Zoom, a stable internet connection, and a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted.

Is online counselling different from in-person counselling?

The format is different, but the care isn't. Online sessions follow the same professional and ethical standards as in-person counselling, and they can save you travel time and fit more easily around work.

Who do you work with?

I work with adults, individually and as couples, on a range of concerns including grief, anxiety, stress, low mood, relationships and life changes.

How much do sessions cost?

Please get in touch and I'll share fees for the discovery session and ongoing sessions, along with my availability.

Is online counselling right for everyone?

Not always. Some situations need medical or specialist care that online counselling can't provide. You can read more on the How I can help page, and if you're unsure, feel free to ask.

Can I give a session as a gift?

Yes. Discovery Session e-gift cards are available. Email me and I'll help you arrange one.
