Room to unlearn,learn and relearn

Online counselling for adults, shaped around your culture, your family and what matters to you. It starts with a 30-minute discovery session over Zoom.

Hi, I'm Dulari

Counselling that starts with your story

I'm a counselling psychologist with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and an MSc in Occupational & Organisational Psychology. I have over seven years of experience across the corporate world and mental health, and today I work with adults on a wide range of challenges and life situations.

I believe counselling gives you the chance to unlearn, learn and relearn things about yourself: your thoughts, your feelings and the patterns that hold you back. Everyone's circumstances are different, so the way we work together is shaped by yours.

How I can help

Some of the things people bring to counselling

You don't need to have the right words for what's going on. These are some of the areas I work with.

  • Loss and life changes

When something ends, shifts or doesn't go to plan.

Bereavement and grief · Transitions through life · Career counselling

  • Mood and self-worth

When things feel heavy, flat or harder than they should.

    Depression · Low mood · Self-esteem

  • Relationships

When connection with others feels strained or confusing.

    Relationship issues · Couples counselling

You are not alone.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to work through it on your own.

How it works

Three simple steps to get started

  1. Get in touch

Send me an email with a little about what's brought you here. There's no need to explain everything at once.

  2. Discovery session

A relaxed, paid 30-minute session over Zoom. We'll talk about what prompted you to seek support, what you'd like to change, and any questions you have about counselling. It's a chance for us both to see if we're a good fit.

  3. Working together

If we decide to go ahead, we'll continue with regular sessions online, using approaches that suit you and your goals.

My approach

Shaped around you, not a script

Your culture, family, beliefs and identity all shape how you experience the world, so they shape how we work together too.

I draw on three main approaches:

  • Client-centred therapy

You lead the conversation, and I listen without judgement, helping you make sense of what you're feeling.

  • Systemic therapy

We look at you within the wider picture of your family and relationships.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Together we look at how your thoughts, feelings and actions connect, and build practical tools for the moments that feel hardest.

The aim is to help you find your own personal "why", and to work through what's getting in the way.

Questions

Things people often ask

What happens in the discovery session?

It's a relaxed 30-minute conversation over Zoom. You can share what's brought you here and what you'd like to change, and ask anything you're curious about. I'll explain how I work and what our sessions could look like, so we can both decide if we're a good fit. It's a paid session, and I'll share the fee when you get in touch.

What do I need for online sessions?

A device with Zoom, a stable internet connection, and a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted.

Is online counselling different from in-person counselling?

The format is different, but the care isn't. Online sessions follow the same professional and ethical standards as in-person counselling, and they can save you travel time and fit more easily around work.

Who do you work with?

I work with adults, individually and as couples, on a range of concerns including grief, anxiety, stress, low mood, relationships and life changes.

How much do sessions cost?

Please get in touch and I'll share fees for the discovery session and ongoing sessions, along with my availability.

Is online counselling right for everyone?

Not always. Some situations need medical or specialist care that online counselling can't provide. You can read more on the How I can help page, and if you're unsure, feel free to ask.

Can I give a session as a gift?

Yes. Discovery Session e-gift cards are available. Email me and I'll help you arrange one.
